Our commitment to safety is the cornerstone of our business. In recent years, we’ve focused on fostering a safety-first culture where every employee feels valued and secure at work. TEAM Blackhawk, our leading behavior-based safety program, defines the health and safety policies, guidelines, training, and expectations for all Blackhawk employees. The program emphasizes proactive safety measures and encourages bottom-up engagement to maintain a healthy and safe working environment.

We have a safety culture that values the consistent actions of our employees and the attention to safety they bring to work each day. TEAM Blackhawk holds daily safety meetings before each shift to review safe work practices. Furthermore, all employees are empowered to stop work if they identify any conditions or behaviors of concern.  Since 2020, Blackhawk has demonstrated exceptional safety performance, consistently outperforming the national average in lost workday incident rates. In 2025, Blackhawk Mining recorded its strongest safety performance to date, reinforcing its position as an industry leader in both miner health and safety and operational excellence.
